I've been noticing a bit of a thing going on in a few of the blogs I follow for cards that are, with the exception of the stamped image, all white... check out the Lady Bug Crafts Ink, Scrapbook Sisters, and Papercrafts by Rach blogs if you want to have a look
After my dabbling with the dark side with my all black scrapbook page I decided to turn to the light and go all white :-)
I'm still seriously lacking in baby stamps (OK, not strictly true... seriously lacking in baby stamps that I still like, I've got bored with the ones I have :-) ), and I think that all white cards just scream baby or wedding.
So the lack of baby stamps kinda made the decision for me :-)
So I sketched it out so I had a rough idea of what I was doing, and then went with the flow...
...and here is what emerged quite a while later!
In my defense I was also refereeing several arguments between the boys and supplying them with lunch, pudding and copious amounts of drink, cuddles when they fell over and removing the Little Tike's car from the flower bed for which it seems to have an affinity :-)
However, it might have taken me time to fiddle with it - I tried running one of the layers of white through the Cuttlebug, but it just looked too fussy - but once I was happy I did another, although this time the bride was brunette
I love the flowers on this card, along with the several layers of white card they are what makes it really special. I've used AB pointed crystals in the middle of the flowers and they are just wow!
Supplies: Bride Nikki - layybugcraftsink, stamped with Momento Tuxedo black and coloured with Copics, glittered with Glamour Dust; Sentiment - Woodware: White cardstock - Papermill; Pins and beads - Dunelm Mill; Punches, Loopy Border Punch - Martha Stewart, Retro Flower - EK Success, Small Flower - Woodware; Tulle - Bazzill (Scrapbook Sisters); AB pointy crystals - EBay
Anyway, hope you like it, sorry for the very late post but we've just got home from a BBQ at friends - we watched the footie - IMHO (and not having a clue about the sport whatsoever) England played pretty poorly... my initial thoughts about sticking to sport involving an engine seems quite sensible :-) . Hoping you are having a great weekend
More tomorrow, thanks for looking
Sue xx
Love the white look Sue. Think I might have a go myself. The flowers are really effective. x
