Good morning and welcome to this weeks Totally Ladybug Tuesday :-)
This week the team have been challenged by Octobers Guest Designer Ang who asked us to make our own paper!
Seeing as my heat gun was out I decided to stamp and emboss my background and then rub distress inks over the embossed design to create my pattern. Fortunately I had some snowflake stamps lurking and I set about stamping a random pattern before going a bit nuts with the inks. With hindsight I wish I had gone over the paper with a quick splash of glimmer mist as well, but I'll have to save that for another day!!
Here's my finished card
I played with my sewing machine again (for those that asked before it's a Husvarna Viking) and found a cute little snowflake stitch and used a light silver thread which is a bit pale to be seen in the photo, but looks good IRL. Some wide snowflake ribbon , some blue organza, a charm and a gorgeous multi-toned button finishes this card off.
Here's the paper before I put it all together
I used Snow Angel Nikki and Buttercup, coloured with copics with glamour dust to trim her clothes and diamond dust for the snow
Supplies:
Stamp - Snow Angel Nikki and Buttercup - Ladybug Crafts Ink; Snowflake Stamp - Lakeland Plastics
White and Blue CS, Ribbons, Button and Charm from stash
Clear Embossing Powder, Weathered Wood, Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans Distress Inks
Copics, Glamour Dust, Diamond Dust, Sewing Machine
