Hello!!
Today I'm sharing the card I made for Gaelle, my LCI DT friend, but I'm not sure if it reached her in time - if not, don't read any further Gaelle!!
Anyway, I saw a post by Julie a couple of weeks ago and she used some of these MME papers in the range and I remembered that I had some lurking from when I did the Halloween class at Scrapbook Sisters last year - although one side of these papers are halloweeny the other side is usable all the year. Even better they have a gorgeous texture, but I guess you're gonna have to trust me on that one, cos the photo isn't going to pick it up!! I really like the Kraft look of these papers, and got a couple more sheets when I was in the shop the other day - I was toying with the idea of buying the Tim Holtz Kraft pad but I think I prefer the designs of these!
Anyway, here's the card I made
The sentiments are by Woodware and I couldn't help but pop some cabochon gems and some satin ribbon on there too
I used sketch 122 from Card Patterns
and the stamp that came free with last month's Craft Stamper, and smudged some caramel ink around the stamped image, which is highlighted with black stickles
And I decorated the inside too :-D
I hope Gaelle likes it :-D
Thanks for looking
Sue xx
Can I also enter these challenges please
Cards and Scrap - Use Punches/Dies (I've used a nestie and a MS punch on my card)
Hi Sue, you're right about the texture, I had to brush my fingers several times on the damask paper to make sure it wasn't 3D... I don't know what's special in the black ink but it does look like velvet... and the touch of the whole paper is like cork...
ReplyDeleteooh its so elegant Sue - perfect for Gaelle
