Come on Spring, Hurry UP!!

Good morning, thank goodness it's Friday!!  Mind you I've got a busy day ahead of me at work, then it's a dash to get both kids picked up and to swimming so I won't get home until about 9pm :-(.

Tomorrow we are going out with friends to celebrate a birthday, and I have got to make the birthday boy a card yet... get this... we are going out without the kids!!  I really need to decide what image to use - I still find men's cards a struggle, and (gasp!) I might end up buying him one if I run out of time (let's be honest he's a bloke in his 30's and we are going to the pub, he's not going to notice his card!!)

Right enough with the waffle and onto todays card...

This is another one of the samples that I have made for Kerry to take to CHA with her

I've coloured the rather lovely Tulip Ruby with Copics as usual and added stickles to her wings and glossy accents to the watering can and the laybug on the flower pot.  I adore tulips - I think they are my favourite flower, with their long leaves and I love the gorgeous colours some come in :-)  They are also a sign that spring is here and the winter is over (as opposed to the daffodils that lurk around my garden, getting confused over what season is what!)

I'm getting better at sewing on my cards, and since watching Jeanie's tutorial my lines are definately less wonky, but I think I'm getting used to my machine and where to line things up and I've got the hang of stopping and manually winding it forward half a stitch now :-)

I'd like to enter these challenges

Right, that's my lot for today, gotta dash!

Have a great day, more tomorrow
