Thank goodness it is Saturday!!
Today's Easter card uses the same Flower Cross Digi Stamp as yesterday, designed by the fabulous Gayle for Scrapbook Sisters
I really love this image, and think it would be perfect not only for Easter cards as I have used it for here, but also for those hard to do Sympathy cards, or even a baptism or confirmation - just what we all like in these times when most people are watching the pennies - something that is usable for more than just one thing :-)
This card is still mainly white but I went with purple as an accent colour and added more bling and detail
As yesterday I kept the cross simple and edged it with a silver pen, but have used stickles in the centres of the flowers and glossy accents on the leaves. The sentiment I made myself using a downloaded font, and the picure doesn't pick it up very well but the CS is a dark purple, pretty much the same colour as the ribbon!! I used a MS border punch that I thought went well as it is quite gothic (as in gargole, church windows and spires... not gothic as in the lifestyle!). For once I managed to be happy with the sponging round the edge of the image, which is using a mix of lilac and purple inks and the flowers and gems are from my stash
My shocking photography skills SO do not do this card justice, but here's a close up anyhows
I'd like to enter my card into these challenges
I've got a jam packed weekend - housework features heavily, then small son is at a birthday party tomorrow, then we are going to Brands Hatch on Sunday (apparently Lewis Hamilton is going to be there as his brother is racing... fingers crossed for a photo opportunity!!), oh and somewhere in there I have about a million cards to make as well... oh well, no rest for the wicked :-)
