First Christening Card

Good morning!!

Today I am sharing the Christening card I have made for my friend to give to her friend (are you still with me???) for a Christening (obviouly...LOL!!)

I decided to use a variety of punches, dies and embossing folders, but as I was having a mental blank at the time took some inspiration from last months Craft Stamper.  I'm not sure if it has arrived yet as I had to rely on the post office, and I WILL cry if it doesn't get there in time or is damaged!!  I went for the out of the frame technique, but oh my word this is not easy with the lacy circles die!!  I printed the name of the little boy who's christening it is with my PC and the date, then used my PTI stamps to make them into a ticket.  Some assorted ribbon was stitched onto the ribbon bow with a white button, and I got the butterfly die out again and used the smaller in the set along with my trusty Tesco's punch to add some prettiness

As this was a special occasion card, I decided it needed a special box to go with it, so cut one out and set about  complimenting the card.  The picture does not do this justice, but there are more die cuts, punching, embossing and a tulle flower under which is hiding a silver teddy bear charm.

Fingers crossed for this one's safe arrival!!

Thanks for looking, more tomorrow

Christening Card

Tonight I'm going to share the card I made at today's crop for my friends little boys Christening tomorrow (Ali, if you're reading this before I give you this card, please don't read any further!).

I'm really pleased with how it turned out :) Although I should have got more work done than I did, I was glad I went and had a great time as ever, so a big thank you to all at Scrapbook Sisters for all the hard work that you put in to make the crops so good :).
So I decided to take some photos in the fading light and this happened...

I guess it what happens when you are a scrapbooker and your kids get used to being papped on a regular basis :)
So the card looks like this

Supplies: Paper - My Minds Eye Jack & Jill "Favorite Thing" Bright Argyle Paper; Digital Stamp - I Love It, Mo's Digital Pencil coloured with Copics; Border Punch - Martha Stewart; Ribbon & Buttons from Stash; Labels 4 Nestabilities, Antique Linen Distress Ink

I'm getting used to colouring with the copics, and am getting the hang of shading now - it doesn't always go to plan, but for me who can't draw to save her life it's all a bit of a revelation! :)
More tomorrow, thanks for looking
