Scrapbook Sisters Challenge - Mothers Day

Hello!

As it's nearly Mothers Day here in the UK, this week's challenge at Scrapbook Sisters Card Challenge is Mothers Day!  Congratulations to the winners from last weeks Spring Flowers challenge - so sorry I didn't get round to visit many people last week, the good news is that the PC is back, but I am waiting on HB to get it all set up - until then it's just sitting there looking pretty :-D

Anyway, onto my card today I have been admiring the inchie cards that I have seen in a few magazines recently, and then there have been the lovely creations made in a recent Tim Holtz class - I SOOO need to do one of these classes!

Anyway, enough of my chit chat, onto my card

In fairness I think that I spaced out the squares a but too much, but what an excellent way to use up all the bits and bobs of MME papers and lace that I just couldn't throw away as they were a bit too big for the bin, but a bit too small to make a card with!!

I stamped this Crafty Individals stamp onto some Bo Bunny Double Dot with Timber Brown Stazon and then coloured it up with some Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, which has also been used to ink the edges of the squares.  The lovely ruffled organza is from LCI, and the sentiment is a Paula Pascaul set.

And have you seen the 1000 followers giveaway on the main blog, and there is a new giveaway too - much generosity at the moment!!  Oooh, and there are some brand new buttons for the challenge too - if you are a previous challenge winner feel free to grab one and display it on your blog with pride!!

Please may I enter these challenges

That's it from me today, thanks for stopping by

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Challenge 22 - Sketch

Good morning!  Today it is the turn of the lovely Tams to pick the theme of this weeks challenge over at Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge Blog and she has chosen

A Sketch

This is my take on it :-)

And here's the original sketch by Maya Stenshagen
I used Football Jack from LCI to make a Mothers Day card for my MIL from the kids, and teamed him (no pun intended!) with some MME papers, some Kraft and Red CS and some PTI ribbon along with some clear buttons and red embroidery thread.  The circle has been embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder (I can see this one being used A LOT on boys and mens cards!!)

I'd like to enter my card into these challenges please :-)

Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

Looking forward to seeing your creations

Before I go, I'd just like to say a huge thanks to everyone that sent their love, thoughts and prayers for my Dad, I'm pleased to say that he was looking a million times better last night, although he's not completely out of the woods yet I am hopeful that this time he is under the care of a consultant who is going to figure out why this keeps happening, because this was by far the worst yet, and I think even my Dad has figured he got away with it this time (despite being a flippin idiot and not calling for an ambulance early enough!).  He's still in the intensive heart care unit and they are still stablising him so ok for now, but still scary!

Scrapbook Sisters Challenge 29 - Mothers Day/Special Lady

I'm still running a day behind, due to my PC issues earlier in the week - fingers crossed I've got it sorted, but I am going to be backing up regularly from now on to make sure that I don't lose any of my precious pictures :-)

Today I am sharing my card from this weeks Scrapbook Sisters Challenge which this week is to make a card for

Mothers Day or a Special Lady

I am still in love with Kraft cardstock, and used it with some papers by Bo Bunny and MME

I used an X Cut die to cut the border at the bottom, and some buttons from my stash.  The image is a Lily of the Valley, and the sentiment is from the uber versatile Paula Pascaul set.

That's it from me today :-)

More tomorrow

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Challenge 21 - Make Your Own Flowers

Better late than never, LOL!!

I managed to fix my PC which was the reason for me not posting yesterday with the rest of the DT, apologies for that - hurrah for me!!

So this week it was the turn of of March's rather fabby GDT Amanda to set the challenge at Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge, and she would like to see your

Handmade Flowers

Without further waffle from me, here's my card

I've used Olivia from the new BFF collection by Ladybug Crafts Ink and one of the sentiments she comes with to make a Mother's Day card.

The pleated ribbon also comes from LCI.  The flowers are made using a Sizzix die with a little pearl in the centres.  I've no idea who the papers are by, or the lace!  The stamped sentiments have been stamped with a co-ordinating Momento Ink Pad.

I'd like to enter this card for these challenges
