Hello!
Shapes
in your design - think geometric and non-geometric and as many as you can get on your project and that'll be fine!
Now I find cards for older kids/teenagers nearly as tricky as cards for men - they know what they like and as I get older I find it more and more peculiar... this is not a good thing as I have one son heading rapidly towards his teenage years... wish me luck!!
Anyway, enough of my waffle and onto my card
I've been using quite a few pages from my MME Miss Caroline - Dilly Dally and On the Bright Side - One 6x6 pads lately, so I have been gathering quite a few off cuts, and like many a crafter, can't abide to throw them away, so was really pleased to come across a sketch at Sketchy Colours that would enable me to use them up, and at the same time create a fab card.
The bonus was that it enabled me to count rectangles as another shape in my card, joining triangles (the bunting), circles and squares :-D Actually I think this is one of my favourite sketches in a little while, and I can see it being used for CAS as well as this one which is quite busy... or WOW (just thought of that as I typed!) I love this card, Josh is such a dude, and I think the combo of the image, papers and design might have stired my crafty mojo to wake up!! LOL, time will tell :-D
Hmmm... sorry, waffling today! As always I've printed
Josh onto Neenah and coloured him with copics
Like I said, such a dude! What else could I put on the bunting :-D All the edges of the papers have been distressed with a TH distressing tool, and with Black Soot Distress inks - yep, went with the grunge good and proper for this card!
I used another off cut for the inside
The sentiment is also from LCI -
here - and is included in the half price stamp sale that is ongoing to 17th April - the discount is applied at checkout - and is a fab opportunity to get some
LCI stamps from £3.25!!
Right, I think I have waffled more than enough today - before I go please may I enter these challenges
Thanks for stopping by
