Scrapbook Sisters Card Challenge 6 - Flower Power

Good morning - halfway through the week already and that means it's time for this weeks Scrapbook Sisters Card Challenge

This week the theme is

"Flower Power"

Here's my card

To make this card I used We R Memory Keepers "Loren" paper from the Tiffany's range, its a really striking range and I love the colours of these papers, and they gave me the slightly bohemian look I was after!!  The sentiment is pre-printed on the paper, and makes a nice change from the normal greetings

This is one of those papers that are strips that I think we all buy but then don't know how to use (or is that just me!!)  I've covered the join in the papers with some chocolate grosgrain ribbon - I have seen this on cards before but the idea really came from a pair of favourite shoes from Dune that have hints of the colours from this paper and have grograin ribbon criss crossing the front that I was trying (without success!!) to find at the weekend... goodness knows where they have got to!!

While this all sounds quite simple I think it's a really attractive card, much better IRL than my photo shows, and a refreshing change from what I have been up to of late

I was going to use my flower punches but decided not to when I realised that the flowers on the paper were a perfect size, so I cut them out, rubbed them over with a ball tool to dome them slightly and stuck them on with 3D pads, a pink pearl finishes them off.

Please check what the rest of the DT have done by clicking on the links to the right of this post or by going directly to the Scrapbook Sisters Blog where you can post your link to our challenge too

Thanks for stopping by

Such a great card Sue, I love those stripey type papers but always find I want more of one stripe and can't use others. There's just no pleasing some people! X
