Totally Ladybug Tuesday - Stitching (real or faux)

Good morning!!

Can you believe it's March already!!  Where is this year going??  I'm going to have to get cracking on my Christmas cards soon :-)

Before I break out the Christmas stamps, just time to let you know that it is another Totally Ladybug Tuesday over at the Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge, and this week it's Anita's (if you haven't seen Anita's blog, check it out, her colouring is amazing!!) turn to set the challenge and she would like to see

Stitching

it can be real or faux, the choice is yours!!

It is also the first challenge for our March GDT member Amanda, so why not stop on by and say hi....

and

from this week LCI challenges can be won by anyone (whoo hoo!) so you don't have to use an LCI stamp to win the prize (although we all love it when you do!!)

and

if that wasn't brilliant enough, there is just a few days left to buy the new range of BFF stamps at the pre-order special price of £5.99 each - all of these lovely images also contain 3 sentiments and background/accessory stamps too :-)

Gosh I need a little lie down after all that lot!

Are you still with me!  Here's my card :-)

I've had another of those mental block weeks, so turned to a this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers to give me a little kick start, and chose to use some beautiful papers by Daisy D's - my shocking photography skills probably hasn't picked up the detail on these, but there they give an impression of antique lace, so teamed them with some sage green cardstock (I think I'm willing Spring on here!) and some lovely lace that I liberated from one of the stall holders at the NEC :-)  I love this stuff as it's quite delicate compared with most of the lace I have in my stash - perfect for this card (and the warmer weather!!!)

I've coloured up Posh Shopper Nikki in co-ordinating colours and added some flowers and pearls, I was intending on glittering up her shopping bag, but to my horror I cannot find my glamour dust anywhere - I'm going to have the boot of the cars out in case it fell out of my bag at somepoint, or failing that have a good search though small sons toy boxes... he likes a bit of sparkle - on Sunday I found him sitting in front of the mirror very carefully applying my Urban Decay make up, he'd done quite a good job actually, for a three year old :-)

I think Posh Shopper Nikki is my current favourite Nikki, she's just so glam!  Of course I look like that on my way home after a busy day too... ROFL!!  We can all dream eh?!  I used my Marianne Creatables Die to cut two shapes than layered them up one portrait, one landscape, and stamped my greeting and cut Nikki to fit inside the top one.

Oh yes, the sewing - after the drama of last week (where I finished my card to the recipe and then added more bits.... duh!!) I made sure that I stitched every single panel neatly with pale gold Gutterman machine embroidery thread.

Just a quick get well soon message for the lovely Tams, my fellow LCI DT, who has been under the weather lately to say the least - fingers crossed for a speedy recovery hunny, if you have time why not stop by her blog and leave her a little message :-)

Right that's quite enough waffle from me for one day :-)

Looking forward to seeing your creations... thanks for stopping by

Sue xx
